The Tower celebrated its sixth anniversary recently with a rave review in The Independent newspaper.

The Tower was described as;

"A stylish offering from James Thomson of the renowned Witchery by the Castle, is elegantly perched atop the Museum of Scotland, and has spawned many imitators since it opened six year ago."

The Tower remains Scotland's first and finest rooftop restaurant described by the Independent as "a popular, informal, star-studded eneterprise ...showcases a combination of fresh seafood, grilled meat and vegetarian dishes - a current distillation of all the cool concepts."

As well as the Tower's sixth anniversary on St Andrew's Day, owner James Thomson also recently celebrated the 25th anniversary of his the Witchery by the Castle restaurant-with-rooms and the first anniversary of Scotland's latest 5-star hotel & AA Hotel of the Year 2005, Prestonfield.

This is the latest award for the Tower which is the current Lothian Business Excellence Award Company of the Year and was highly commended in the National Business Awards for Scotland.
